If you want us to promote your film in the latest submission section, it is essential that you provide either some stills and or a promotional clip of your film. If you do not supply us with either a clip or stills we can not, included it on our website. When submitting your film please can you add the clip and stills to a separate CD or DVD in addition to the two dvd's you submit to us.

Please remember to enclose a 60 second clip or production stills with your short synopsis so that we can give your public a taste of what's to come!

Ryde International Film Festival is pleased to show case some of our latest film submissions. The information provides the film genre, the film tile, who produced and directed the film and a short synopsis of the film. Ryde International Film Festival team hope that this will whet your appetite

Claude Green	Before the expenses scandle blew up, in which British members of Parliment replaced investment bankers as hate figures in the eyes of the public, a liberal democrat Mp, Ed Davey, agreed to take part in a documentary that would explore the question of what an MP actually does. With unpresedented access, it is the first film to give a real flavour of the extraordinary range of problems that MP's encounter at their constituency surgery advice sessions and the issues they have to grapple with as "representatives of the people". Amid st stories of bureaucratic delays and mistakes that are almost Kafkaesque in their complexity, there are fortunately some humorous ones as well.
	Experimental	Blinds	Paul Windridge	What do you think about in the time between sleep and awake. Blinds is a visual merging of internal thoughts and external influences in a life. A complex composition involving a total of 75 interacting layer which produce a series of unusual juxtapositions.
	Pop video	Bullet from Nowhere	Paul Windridge	A sultry Bond-esque, visual description of the group The Futures' song "Bullet fron Nowhere.
	Campaign Documentary	Walter and the Tigers	Jason Perryman	Freediving with Tiger Sharks in South Africa with Walter Bernardis, an expert diver on these animals. Throughout the scuba dives we see that Tigers are not as aggressive or dangerous as we think, but also investigates the Tigers' behaviour more thoroughly. We're left with a feeling of safety and affection for them. But in the 2nd half, we see these Sharks killed in the local beach nets of the Natal Sharks Board, and their dissections in front of an audience by this organization. We see the damage done to the Tiger Shark population and other Sharks and marine species too. Tigers are not a danger to humans, the humans are a danger to the Tigers – and it’s humans like Walter that can save them.

	Short Drama	I luv Matt Johnson	Jon Garbett	17 Year old Zoe succeeds in juggling her GCSE retakes, Supermarket job and commitments to her friends, - until her Boyfriend and Best mate betray her.
	Short Drama	Weekend Dad	Jay Loe	A father, realising he knows little about his son, attempts to bond with him.
	Short Documentary	The Last Resort	Russell Oastler	A Short Documentary about the Seafront of Southsea Portsmouth and its inhabitants. The loss of tradition and economic downturn have taken their toll on Southsea's people. The last Resort reflects on how communities ans individuals attempt to hold back the tide.
	Documentary	My father Zoltán	Agnes Szabó	Through this documentary, Agnes attempts to grasp her relationship to her father, Zoltán Szabó, a noted Hungarian writer who lived  in Brittany, London and Budapest who died before she reached the age of five. She sets off on a journey, looking for an absentee.
	One Man Band	In Memorium: Requiem to a Railway	Alex Denny	A short theme exploring the theme of change. Presents a look back in time at a bygone era of the history of the Isle of Wight. Using old photographs of the Railway. The shots are recreated in the present day in order to compare and convey emotion. The film ultimately asks the question "What would it be like if the railway had survived"
	Documentary	Dan Driven to Succeed	Tom Greenidge & Rob Gunn	Dan is an extraordinary young man, born with cerebral palsy. Dan has been in a constant struggle to achieve the very best in his life. Dan’s life centres on the paralympic sport of Boccia and after his gold at the 2008 Beijing Paralymics. dan is now striving to stay on form and keep achieving great success.
	Short /Sci-Fi	The Initiation of Kim Sun	Henry Schofield	The story of a young hedge fund manager recruited into a Mayfair office, only to find that his co-workers are out of his league in the productivity department. He then realises he has been unwillingly cybernetically ‘enhanced’ to work longer and harder.
	Silent Comedy	Me and My Wacky Doctor; on our First Appointment	Neath Films & Matthew Gurney	A silent comedy which follows the experience of a deaf patient as he tries to get his DLA form signed by his doctor. What should be a simple trip to the doctor's becomes a challenge as the crazy doctor tried to prove that the deaf patient can actually hear, using antiquated, and strange medical techniques!
	Romantic Comedy	All Day	Nadia Nadarajah	Rebecca and Aaron live next-door and have waved at each other from across the street, but never met. In the Café they tell their friends that they are interested in one another, but are too shy to meet as they both assume the other is hearing. Neither of them realise that they are Deaf!
	Supernatural Thriller	Go Ahead	Edward Evans	Jack is a twenty-something guy who is not very happy with life. He just exists, not appreciating what he has. That is until he receives an unexpected package containing an old minicom, and meets a mysterious stranger who is desperate to help him. Holly, Jack's girlfriend, begins to grown concerned by Jack's odd behaviour, and suspicious of the minicom with which he spends all his time.
	Supernatural Comedy	Game of Life	Nick Sturley	A light-hearted comedy with a devilish twist. Four deaf poker players are waiting for the dealer to arrive for their usual poker game. However a mysterious deaf stranger, Luc, arrives to take the usual dealer's place. Luc appears to judge each player in turn, and has an uncanny ability for poker, which has him winning every hand. The players start to suspect that Luc is not a normal person.
