How to Enter

Once you have made your film, make sure if you are using people in your film that you get their permission to have the film shown publicly - if you need a consent form you can down load a sample one here. If you need to use music you can either produce your own, or get permission from the musician, if the music is broadcast on the radio or another medium you will need to contact the Performing Rights Society at www.mcps-prs-alliance.co.uk.

PLEASE NOTE - If you do not obtain permission for the music included in your film, IOWIFF will not be able to screen your submission.

Once you have made your film, you will need to transfer it to your computer using Film Editoring Software, save the master copy of your film  and keep it safe, we recommend that you  also make a second copy as a backup just in case your computer goes wrong.

Once you have downloaded the film you can edit it, add a Title sequence, add captions, subtitles if required and a list of people who have helped make your film. Then burn the final piece to two (2) DVD's either in PAL or NSCT format.

Films must be submitted on 2 DVD’s and in PAL or NTSC Format.

If you want us to promote your film in the latest submission section, it is essential that you provide either some stills and or a promotional clip of your film. If you do not supply us with either a clip or stills we can not, included it on our website. When submitting your film please can you add the clip and stills to a separate CD or DVD in addition to the two dvd's you submit to us.

Once you have made the copies of your film, put it into a padded envelope with a copy of the submission form, your payment if you haven't used our online PayPal payment system.
