New Dates and Altered Deadlines
After a long team meeting it was agreed that to enable us to provide the best possible judges for the festival and to ensure that all licenses and extraneous matters have been abided by, the Ryde International Film Festival Isle of Wight has altered it's date to 28th April 2011 to 1st May 2011. We felt that we would prefer to ensure we were able to invite top Film Critics and Producers to the festival to act as judges, as well as, opening the event up to a broader audience including families. The Easter bank holiday weekend would enable the Ryde summer season to open with a bang. We have also be able to provide a double venue for screening again allowing for larger audience participation.
Submissions will be accepted from now until the final day of the Extended Deadline on 31st march 2011.
The regular deadline is
31st January 2011.
The late deadline is 28th February 2011.
There is an extended Final Call - only deadline of 31st March 2011.
All films submitted so far have a guaranteed showing at the film festival.

Festival Dates
The Film Festival Team have decided that as this is the 1st International Film Festival of it's type on the Isle of Wight, that our first year should go with a bang rather than being spread over a whole week we have altered it to run for three very fun packed days. We have some really exciting things happening during the three days.
So watch out for the latest announcements and our 1st Newsletter which will be coming out shortly.

Latest Submissions
As we are getting a lot more films rolling in as submissions we have altered the home page to give you a taste of the films that we are receiving. The home page gives you a short description of the film, but if you wish to read a more in depth synopsis you will find it on the new navigation tab Film Submissions
Where we receive a trailer of the film we will add that to the pages , but only in the small format, you will be able to visit any of our social networking groups to view a larger version.
The team at Ryde International Film Festival are very excited by the diversity of film types we are receiving, and hope that you will enjoy them when they are shown on the big screen.
